2010 One Minute Recap Game 1: Bulls 95 at Thunder 106

A game that looked tough on the calendar, and even worse with Boozer out until early December actually looked fairly winnable through most of the first 3 quarters. This despite early and constant foul trouble for Derrick Rose (early 2nd and 4th fouls), and a wide discrepancy in free throw attempts (22 for the Bulls, 47 for the Thunder).

The Good: Rose scoring (28 pts). Noah (18 pts and 19 rebounds!) and Gibson (16 pts and 11 rebounds) double-doubles. Bulls winning the rebounding edge (51 to 44)

The Bad: Thunder second chance points. Bulls turnovers leading to 17 Thunder pts. Bulls inability to adjust for Thunders aggressive overplaying of the passing lanes. Deng with a pedestrian contribution (13 pts, 2 rebounds)

The Ugly: Derrick Rose's shooting percentage(12-31) and scoring efficiency (31 shots for 28 pts). The discrepancy in free throw attempts.

It looks like the foundation will be in place once things settle in. It was going to be a tough game to win putting the Thunder on the line so many times. It's back to the UC next for the home opener against a very beatable Detroit team.

Up Next: versus Detroit on Saturday, October 30th.
