Day 3 In Review (Part 2)

Back at the hotel, I started to figure out what to do next, when I was reminded of this event: Higashiyama Hanatouro. Along a 4.6 km walking path towards the foothills of the Higashiyama Mountains, the path and the various temples along the route light up with lanterns. Additionally, temples which are usually closed at sundown are opened for a brief period with special lighting set up as well.

From here on, I'll be doing all of the "Day In Review" series in chronological order. I may have some real life stuff in between though.

I didn't really have a set plan once I finally got to the hotel and settled in. I was somewhat distracted by the TV (being able to see anime in primetime would do that to you.) Plus, the view was pretty decent too.


Random Scene from Ueno Park

I'm back home and beginning to unpack my luggage and all the memories and moments of the trip.

I was somewhat fortunate to be nearby when this scene randomly unfolded at Ueno Park, so please enjoy this random burst of music:

Basically, there is a couple dressed as a samurai and as a bunny girl [name the anime, folks!] that go around with guitars serenading folks. This particular group really got into it.
